Larry and I just got back from Texas. We had a great time, saw many relatives and friends AND my book won first place for Biographies and Memoirs at the Will Rogers Medallion Awards!
I never dreamed of winning anything. Especially not for a book that I wrote! BUT I couldn’t bee more surprised and pleased.
I want to thank everyone on the committee for choosing Cowboy Princess Rides Again. I love telling stories about my family and I am so very glad that people enjoy reading them.
All third, second and first place winners got to have our picture taken with our awards in front of the Will Rogers backdrop.

Oh Cheryl congratulations! You must be thrilled and so happy. I bet you had butterflies. The smile on your face is wonderful. An honor to receive an award for something you did. Dancing down the steps of wow. It’s a big deal. I know it’s been said before: Happy Trails To You. You earned it kiddo.
Congratulations! Author, author! I have collected every Roy/Dale book possible and both CP books are my very faves, not just because they are personable, fun books but the stories themselves are important and so well told, that makes them memorable.
We still watch Roy and Dale regularly and play that great music. I do love brother Dusty’s book too–but he talked a lot more about food!
I tried to zero in and see the embroidery detail on that white vest, it sure is pretty and looks good with a gold medal!
