Our good friend, Larry Zwisohn, sent me this incredible photo last evening. It is the Oklahoma Application for Marriage License for Dad and Mom (Roy Rogers and Dale Evans). Notice the date, December 30th, 1947. They were married the next day.
At the time of the application, Dad was living at Glenn Randall’s house (Glenn was Trigger’s trainer). He had been living there since he sold our Longridge house following Mommy’s (Arline’s) death.
The handwriting on the application isn’t Mom’s nor Dad’s, so I am guessing that it is the notary’s. It looks like the same writing as her signature.
Thank you, Larry, for such a fun discovery and for sharing it with us. Cheryl

Look at that Number 13! It turned out to be lucky for those two! Their marriage was such a good example.
That certificate should be in the Smithsonian! It is a national treasure. Thank you for posting it!
What a neat thing to have in your possession. Wow beautiful memory.
