One of the main reasons that the production values on the Roy Rogers TV Show were so good was Dad bringing over so many members of his old Republic Studios crew.
I wish I could remember more of their names but is has been a few years ago and I was, after all, a teenager.
Standing second from the last is Dad’s cousin Stan Slye (actor and sometimes Dad’s stand-in), the sheriff is Harry Harvey, next is Dorothy Andre, Mom’s
make-up gal, Mom (Dale Evans, of course) behind her is Mom’s double Alice Van, Dad, and the gentleman in the suit and tie is that episodes director Nate Berringer.

great photo wish i had it in my collection.
Everyone in that picture looks pretty happy to be there! I wish there was an official DVD Box set of the whole series. I see listings on Amazon but it’s not clear what you’re buying, exactly.
The nice thing is having familiar people around you can trust and seems as if you already like them as your folks did.. Funny how they are pictured in front of the jail bars and smiling. Haha. Love these pics Cheryl. As a teen years ago I can relate to not knowing people’s names or remembering them. As a grownup now my mom at 87 will say ” you remember her” or whatever and I truly don’t. Sometimes I say I do to avoid frustrating mom. Right or wrong. Hmmm.
I found a gravestone for Stan “Toots” Slye in the Greenwood Cemetery in Arcata, California. Would that be Roy’s cousin? I have a picture of the gravestone if you would like it. Great fan of Roy and Dale.

I don’t think that’s Dad’s cousin. To the best of my memory (I’m old and it’s been a long time now), Stan and his family moved away from Los Angeles in the early 60s and went to Oregon.
