I’m Included in The Autry’s Archives
Some years ago I was asked by Maxine Hansen (she’s Mrs. Gene Autry’s assistant), of Autry Entertainment, if I would participate in adding to the Autry Museum’s archives by participating in a video project with she and Holly Day George (author of Public Cowboy No. 1). I was really excited that they wanted me to tell about my childhood in the growing up in the Rogers’ household, in San Fernando Valley, in Hollywood and in “the business.”
Larry, my husband, and I spent most of a day with Maxine and Holly while they asked me questions about a wide-ranging number of topics. The finished project came to several hours of video. I asked and received permission to share the interview with you here on my website during the coming weeks. For those of you who spent time in and around the San Fernando Valley or Hollywood in the 40s one 50s, I hope you enjoy reminiscing. For all of you younger folks, I hope my memories will give you an inkling of what life was like during that era.

Excellent, congratulations on your very worthy inclusion into those archives. Your stories are great!
I was blown away by The Autry, I went a few years ago and basically had the place to myself that whole afternoon for some reason. It’s so grand and full of wonderful exhibits about the Western life and our native cultures too. Any Western fan must go see it!
I’m so looking forward to this, thank you!
thanks so much really enjoyed, I hope you two are good. Looking forward to more love you Bill
