I just received the following from a gentleman who had watched my interview with the wonderful Robert Fuller. I am printing his comments in their entirety.
Hi Cheryl,
Just wanted to mention that I happened to see your interview with Robert Fuller that was done last year and I thoroughly enjoyed it a lot. I wondered whatever happened to Mr. Fuller and now I know he is still out there and what a treat it was to know he is still with us. I loved his roles in Westerns, particularly in the TV Western “Laramie.” I liked your interviewing of this big time cowboy celebrity and I got to see another side of his personality and character. You did a great job with the interview and I hope I see many more like it in the future.
Once again thanks for the memories and your gifted interviewing skills.
By the way, I am watching all the Westerns I can on Grit TV, and am I ever happy to see a channel that shows nothing but Westerns. I love to see the morals that all of these shows wrote into their scripts. If one is not an avid Bible reader (Me), these shows demonstrate more often than one realizes that old adage called right vs. wrong.
Thanks, Cheryl.

What a wonderful message from John. He put into words how I feel quite nicely. Cheryl your interviews are enlightening, fun and often funny. You invite your guests to be able to live memories with your questions and listening talent. You take care and I hope you are doing well. This pandemic has been and is tough. You help so much with your interviews and easy way of going to “Happy Trails” for a while. Bless your heart.
As ever Joyce Gausman.
Hi Cheryl,
Thank you so much for printing my previous comment about your Robert Fuller Interview. I am honored and will have this printed and framed.
Thanks

John is a great guy. We share the love of the Rogers family and the Roy Rogers shows and movies, a wonderful age of innocents I am afraid is gone . Don Raker
My father passed away a few years ago and I have finally gotten around to developing some of hundreds rolls of undeveloped film he had. I have a photo of the 1984 Tournament of Roses Parade and there is a very close photo of a gentlemen riding a horse in the parade and he sure looks just like Roy Rogers to me. He’s wearing a dark blue costume covered with palomino horses and a neckerchief around his neck, in typical Roy Rogers style. My Dad was a huge Roy Rogers fan. I still have my metal Roy Rogers lunch box, but I scraped off everything but Trigger – horse crazy girl. I’d love to share the photo with you.
Thank you Cheryl I received my book. I’m really enjoying reading and enjoy your share your memories with us
Thank you Cheryl as you continue to inspire us as your family has done. Truly they were role models for me growing up. Fortunately for you you lived the dream that many of us wished we were part of. Thank you for continuing. Happy trails
Hello Mrs. Barnett,
My name is Moriyah and I am 14 years old.
I am a huge Roy Rogers and Dale Evans fan, and I think I have listened to every one of their songs, and watche almost every single movie too!.
I started liking Western things and cowboys in the end of 2019, and since then I have just loved it and your parents were my first inspiration and model of how the west was and how America was. I love the 1940s -1960s era, but mainly the clothing from the cowboys and cowgirls in that era.
I love all of Mrs. Dale’s outfits, and I try my best to imitate them as I absolutely love western clothes and hers are my favorite outfits. My Momma sews and has made me some outfits that are almost like hers, and I am in the process of making a dress that is supposed to a sort of look-alike to her one of outfits when it is finished.
I have several of your moms books, including, Angel Unaware, Dearest Debbie, In the Hands of the Potter, and Where He Leads.
I absolutely love all of them, I also have your brother Dusty’s book Growing up with Roy and Dale. and the book that both your parent wrote Happy Trails. Amazing stories. I knew some about your family before I got the books, but not all the in depth stories about the hard times and the good times.
I really admire how your parents stuck to their faith even in the hardest times, most people would loose their faith in the hard times your family had, but your parents stuck to it no matter what, and that is what I really love.
I love all of your fathers movies, and especially the ones with Mrs. Dale in them too!
I even taught myself to yodel from your dad’s music! My Momma says I sound like a puppy though..
I have been riding horses for 4 years now and am trying to do western, but where we are only English riding is taught, but just being around horses is good enough for me! I absolutely love riding!
I know you must be pretty busy Mrs. Barnett, and I don’t want to keep you too long I just wanted to tell you how much I admire your family and your parents.
Sincerely Yours,
Moriyah Alice Esposito
My Dad was a enormous fan of your Dad Roy Rogers. I met your Dad in CT back in 1981 when he was doing a ribbon cutting ceremony at a new Roy Rogers restaurant. My Dad being a professional fine artist did a painting of Roy Rogers and had me put up on stage where I sat on your father’s lap while he signed the painting. My Dad has since past away as well but I have the painting. I’d enjoy showing it to you in a email.
Hi Cheryl:
I came across some youtube videos of your family that so many of us grew up with.
I don’t know if you will remember me, but I’m the Deputy Sheriff that you asked me to
Introduce you to Val Kilmer at the Hollywood Celebrity autograph show. I had recalled that that his family bought the home from Roy and Dale.
I now live in Redding, Ca. If you get a moment say hi. My email is bigmac91040@yahoo.com.

Hi Cheryl, I don’t know if you have read my message yet, and if you did I hope you didn’t got offended by what I ask about Roy’s last movie he made, or if just your really busy which I understand if you are super busy, it just had me thinking since they toss some bad things in the movie why he did it knowing what they put in it, me and my mom always watching his movies and my dad we enjoy watching them with a cup a coffee and homemade bread and it’s so peaceful sitting down watching he’s and dales films.
Hope to hear from you when you get a chance.

Hi Jordan, I’m sorry that it has taken me so long to reply to your last message but I have been trying to figure out how to answer you. I personally think that Macintosh and TJ is about the best movie that Dad ever made. Granted, this isn’t a Saturday Matinee kids movie. It was made with older teenagers and adults as the intended audience. It’s a story about an older top hand trying to help a boy see how a man should think about and treat women and people in general. It showed how Macintosh disapproved of the degrading pictures of women that some of the cowhands kept on their walls. It also showed how destructive the act of peeping was to the person doing it (he ended up killing himself). It also showed that men should treat their wives with respect. I think that all of these good values were taught in a really good movie.
Cheryl
Thank you Cheryl for answering me, I do believe what you say does make total sense about what they were putting across to people setting a good example, maybe one day me and mom can finish that movie, but for now we stick with watching all his another films and dales we just love watching them, we get a laugh when we watch don’t fence me in when dale pushing Roy in the pool it’s funny
We love watching all their movies I almost have them all, and I just order the second book you wrote from Amazon so I’m waiting to read it.
Hope you have a good rest of your week! ☺️
Jordan
Hi Cheryl, sorry for keep on bothering you, I have one other question, so me my mom got the movie that Roy did with Bob Hope, the son of paleface me and my just laughing like crazy with the movie we like it so much it’s so funny especially with Bob Hope pretends to be Roy and gets on trigger and Roy whistle for him and trigger comes running up in the hotel, and when he sleeps in the bed and trigger keep pulling the blanket on him, we enjoyed that movie so much!
Just for one thing, maybe I’m wrong but did dale not might with Roy was acting close with Jane Russel I know it was just for the movie, but me and my mom were like hmm, I wonder what Dale thought when Roy lift Jane Russel on the counter and when he was singing California rose to her, I said I think Roy sleep with he’s dogs that night, that was just something that had me curious I know it was just acting of course, but just wondering?
Sorry for keep on asking questions Cheryl it meant so much to me talking to you, and now I had all these questions and now I’m able to ask you, I know you are probably very busy. Hope you have a very wonderful week! ☺️
I’m really looking forward to reading your second book you wrote.

Hi Cheryl, I have something to say and it is I deeply apologize for asking that last question to you, I don’t know if I have upset you by asking that, I shouldn’t of have ask that, I don’t know what I must a been thinking, Sometimes we say things with out thinking twice about it, that movie was a real ball of fun, I know Roy was definitely faithful to dale as dale was faithful to Roy, it was just acting for the movie, I know he was trying to find out if mike was the outlaw they were looking for, I get such a laugh out of that movie I just watch it again a couple days ago, it really is fun to watch, so sorry to ask such of silly question.
I enjoy watching every single movie Roy made and the movies both Roy and dale made together, and the wonderful music they made as well.
I’m still reading the last book you wrote, I been actually reading dales book Rainbow on a hard trail I just got done reading it yesterday wondering book she wrote, I’m really enjoying your book as well.
hope you have a great rest of week Cheryl.
