It is so very sad to hear of Larry’s passing. My condolences to Cheryl and all her family and Larry’s family. From all I have read through Cheryl’s comments, Larry and she were very happy together. Losing a loved one is always difficult but there is rejoicing in heaven when we meet our loved ones again . Dear Cheryl,

I am so sorry to hear about Larry’s passing. I just lost my Bride of 54 years, Jan, to the Alzheimer’s that she was struggling with. I will so miss seeing you and Larry together and will miss his wonderful smile, especially when we would greet, Hi Larry, Hi Larry.

God Bless you and the family and I will be praying for your comfort at this time. You were a very Special couple. Thank You Jesus, that we will all be together again some day.

So sorry to hear about Larry’s passing. We met at Canoga Park High school in 1955. We were both on the track team where Larry amazed people with his pole vaulting skills. I believe he vaulted over 13 feet which was great for those days. Another of our past best friends, Bill Sloan just recently died. Bill was an outstanding all city free exercise gymnast. We were inseparable during high school. Larry had a very alluring smile, sort of sneaky I would say but it was all in jest. Those were really the good old days. After High School we were off to different colleges but maintained our friendships. As time went by our connections were frayed with our different lives and visits came down to reunions. So, yes Larry was good buddy and I will always retain our sometimes regrettable activities. I do miss both Larry and Bill. Maybe we will meet up again sometime? Phil Kirkpatrick

Barbara and I send you our deepest sympathies upon learning of the passing of Larry. I really enjoyed visiting with Larry and was always amazed and impressed with his stories regarding his restoration of older automobiles. We also realize what a great husband and companion he was to you as he was always by your side and assisting you wherever and whenever we would meet.

Hi, I’m sorry to hear about your husband passing, I hope you are doing well. My name is Vance Greiner, we went together at Birmingham Jr, then Senior High. I follow your career along the way. I put 10 years in the US Army, then was a Private Investigator in the L.A. area. I met up with NaN Jeffries, (Webster) we both went to school with, in Kingman, AZ. and we went out several times together, in 2006/10 , until her passing in 2010 of brain cancer. She was living with her sister Vicky. I read a lot about your Dad & Mom. I’m on hospice care due to problems surviving Bladder cancer. spend a lot of time on Facebook. Send a note if you like or have time, THX, Vance. osagev@frontiernet.net.

    1. hi Vance, Happy to hear from former school mates but sorry to learn you are having health problems. I have been loosing a lot of friends lately but when we are in our 80s, I can’t believe I have lived this long!!!
Hoping your coming days are free from pain.
      Yours, Cheryl

I waited on Dale Evans in century city in late 1990s. I was hoping you could answer a question I have? I went to elementary school with a student named Danny Eaton. He had an older sister named Cathy. This was in the city of la habra in OC California. Danny ( not bragging) told us casually one day that he was Roy Rogers grandson. I believed him because he looked like Roy. Would you know if this is true? He was probably born in 1960.

        1. Hi, Danny’s sister is Laurie. Danny is Roy’s grandson. Dan’s mother, Marion, was my foster sister and she was from Scotland. She arrived in the States when she was 13 and I had just turned 14.

This message is for Dodie. My grandmother cared for Dodie when she was at Hope Cottage in Dallas. Her name was Eva Hill. She spoke fondly of you, Roy snd Dale. I don’t know much more for I was only probably about 6 or 7. I am you had a good life with the Roger’s. They must have good people.
